My work connects the needs of individuals and families with the programs, partnerships, and systems that shape access to support.

Housing stability and supportive housing

Housing navigation, shelter and supportive housing case management, tenant support, voucher documentation, and collaboration with landlords and property managers are central to my background.

I bring experience in both urban and rural communities, where transportation, service availability, and local housing options can create different barriers.

Coordinated Entry and community systems

My current work includes participation in Coordinated Entry, outreach, stakeholder, and local planning meetings. I help staff and partners connect program requirements with practical service coordination.

My experience with HMIS, reporting, referrals, and housing-program operations supports an understanding of how people move through housing systems and where access can break down.

Child welfare and family reunification

I support families and dependency teams through housing-related consultation, court reports, declarations, expert testimony, and safety and reunification planning. My experience includes child protection investigations, parent representation social work, and family shelter services.

I focus on identifying barriers, clarifying service needs, and connecting housing supports with family stability and meaningful participation in services.

Program leadership, grants, and compliance

I supervise case managers, mentor interns, review program fidelity, monitor outcomes, and collaborate on grant applications. I also support leasing, affordable housing compliance, budgeting, and rehabilitation planning.

My funding-program experience includes state, federal, local government, and private sources. I use internal reviews and data monitoring to connect accountability with service delivery.

Trauma-informed and equitable practice

My training includes motivational interviewing, trauma- and shame-informed practices, race and equity in child welfare, de-escalation, and compassion fatigue awareness.

These areas inform how I approach supervision, family engagement, and services for people experiencing poverty and housing instability.

Veterinary social work and the human-animal bond

My veterinary practice experience and Covenant Creatures volunteer work inform my interest in how poverty, housing access, and animal companionship intersect.

My training includes human-animal bond topics, animal-related grief, compassion fatigue, moral stress, and animal-assisted interventions. My Veterinary Social Work Certificate is in progress, with anticipated completion in October 2026.

Teaching and professional collaboration

I have taught undergraduate social work, facilitated field instruction, and mentored student social workers. I bring the same emphasis on reflection, practical judgment, and professional growth to staff supervision.
