Housing & Housing Systems

Housing stability depends on more than finding an available unit. My experience connects direct housing support with the programs, partnerships, and operations that help sustain it.

Direct support and housing navigation

My background includes family shelter and permanent supportive housing case management, housing searches, voucher documentation, landlord communication, and coordination with behavioral health and child welfare partners. This work has required attention to both immediate needs and the barriers that make stability difficult to maintain.

Coordinated Entry and local partnerships

I participate in Coordinated Entry, outreach, stakeholder, and local planning meetings across Thurston, Lewis, and Mason Counties. These relationships help connect frontline services with a broader understanding of local housing needs.

Serving urban and rural communities requires attention to differences in transportation, provider availability, and housing supply. My role includes helping case managers identify appropriate referrals and coordinate with community partners.

Affordable housing operations

I support annual leasing, tenant services, and HUD HOME compliance monitoring. I also collaborate with property management, facilities, and leadership on budgets and rehabilitation plans for USDA Rural Development subsidized apartment buildings.

This operational experience informs my understanding of the relationship between affordable housing preservation, program requirements, and resident stability.

Data and program accountability

My work includes internal audits, program fidelity reviews, capacity and outcomes reporting, and data monitoring. I bring familiarity with HMIS and grant-reporting systems, connecting service documentation with program oversight.
